Louver painting

I have a set of 3 piece aluminum louvers that someone painted over, can I take them apart so I can sand and paint them with out destroying them? Thanks

Re: Louver painting

For sure, just be careful.
I would use an aggressive plane paint stripper and take your time.
Let the chemicals do the work.

This will be no means be a small job so get ready. But if you really want to get it done right, shouldn't be too hard.
