1988 Formula 350-400HP-ALL NEW!!!

1988 Formula 350. The car is black with a gray interior. It runs, drives, and looks great!!! This car was just completely redone and everything is in excellent condition. The car was built very well with no short cuts and got the best of everything!!! In fact, most of the work and parts on this car have less than 50 miles on them. With the amount of work done to this car, it could almost be considered a new car!!! (Probably better than new.) Here's what's done to it:

Body --- 88,000 original miles. Super solid!!! The car has less than 50 miles on it since being repainted. It is a very good paint job ($4500) not some quick cheap one. Even the engine compartment and underbody were repainted!!! The door pins were also replaced when the car was repainted so the doors open and close like new. The spoiler has a few very minor cracks in the paint but otherwise it's nearly perfect. It has GTA wheels on it that were just powdercoated silver (even the back sides of the rims were done). The tires are 245/55-16 Toyo Proxes that are also new. It also has '85-'90 Trans Am taillights which give it a MUCH better look. You won't find cars much better looking that this.

Interior --- The interior is gray and in excellent condition. It has no rips, tears, or stains. The front carpet was just replaced. Everything in the interior is basically PERFECT!!! The car is a very low optioned car. About the only thing is has other than performance parts is A/C. This is a very lightweight car which makes it a perfect street fighter. You won't find a car with an interior any cleaner than this!!!

Drivetrain --- The engine is a 350 that was just rebuilt and has less than 50 miles on it. Desktop Dyno puts the engine at about 400 horses. The block is the only part of the engine that was reused. However, the block was decked, aline honed, and bored .030 over. Everything else was brand new. The bottom end was replaced with a forged crank and rods with a Fluidamper balancer. It has forged pistons and about 10.5:1 compression. It has a Comp Cam 270HR roller cam and Edelbrock Performer heads with Crane full roller rockers. The factory TPI has been replaced with Edelbrock parts and it has SVO injectors. The plug wires are MSD and it has a K&N air filter. It also has Hooker headers with a custom Y-pipe and new Flowmaster muffler. The starter, alternator, in-tank fuel pump, and water pump are also new. It also has an Optima battery and new high torque mini-starter. Even most of the relays are brand new. It's all bolted to a set of Moroso solid engine mounts. The engine runs very good and sounds great.

The trans is a 700R4 and the case is basically the only stock piece. It has about 30,000 miles since being rebuilt. It has a shift kit, Corvette servo, 2000 stall, and many other performance upgrades. It's bolted up to a polyurethane trans mount. The rearend is the stock 9-bolt/posi disc brake rearend.

Brakes and suspension --- This is a four wheel disc brake car and the brakes were replaced less than 50 miles ago. It is equipped with WS6 suspension so the car handles extremely well. The front suspension was just rebuilt including new tie rod ends and got a front end alignment. All the shocks and struts were also just replaced. The suspension and underbody of the car are basically as clean as the rest of the car. You won't find a cleaner suspension and underbody than this!!!

Of course, we all know a lot of people cut corners when it comes to building a car but this is definitely not one of them!!! This car was built right. Honestly, it would be tough to put a car together much better than this. Even if you did, I'm sure it would cost you at least twice the price of this car!!! This car has over $21,000 invested in it and with the majority of the work having less than 50 miles on it, this car is an absolute STEAL for this price!!! With all the parts that were replaced, this could basically be considered a new car. I'm sure there's even some stuff that I forgot to mention. I've still got the majority of the receipts for all the work and parts put into it.

If you're looking to pick up a VERY nice '82-'92 Firebird this may be the car you're looking for. You won't find one much nicer than this. This car is nicer than 99.9% of these cars you'll ever find. The car was really built to do everything. It has enough power to make you one of the fastest cars on the street and still runs good enough to drive everyday if you want to. Not only that, it's nice enough to win awards at nearly any car show you could take it to. You won't find many other cars that can do that!!!

$9000 FIRM

I will consider taking in another thirdgen car in a partial trade.

Thanks!!! Everybody who has seen it has said the same thing. They would love to have it but they don't have the money. Whoever buys it is getting an absolute STEAL!!! This car was driven one time (35 miles) since getting $21,000 invested into it. EVERYTHING on the car is new!!! I think this could easily be the nicest all around Camaro/Firebird for sale on the boards right now. You could eat off of ANY part on this car!!!

Car: 1987 trans am GTA - sold
Engine: L98
Transmission: 700r4
With all of that work done and staying EFI - how did you get it tuned to perform well? If not on a dyno then with what? It looks like the AC is hooked up - is it working? Is it updated to the new standards? (cannot remember the numbers name - not freon but r-something or other) Any pics of the interior or underneath? Great looking car.

Here's some interior and underbody pictures. Everything on the A/C is hooked up but it just needs to be recharged. Tuning wasn't really a major issue, the engine ran great without much tuning.

I've still got it. I don't think there's a part on this car you couldn't eat off!!!

Car: 2003 Corvette
Engine: LS1
Transmission: one that has 6 speeds
I may have a car to trade.....89 formula. ati procharger. (p1sc with 3 core inter-cooler) zz4 crate motor. jimmy built trans with 2600 vigalante stall. as&m siamessed tpi runners, tpis matched base, matched plenum. 58mm bbk tb, slp 1 3/4 headers, dual fuel pump setup to handle the 16-18 psi of boost the blower puts out. Plus MANY other parts. The car is almost identical to yours. its black/black cloth with trans am lights as well.

The bad- The motor knocks. It started about 4 months ago so I parked it until I can get money to re-do the motor. However the motor I want to put in it would run me 5K...I dont have that money since I just bought a house. Before the motor started to knock I spent $2200 at ASSC to have the fuel pump setup done and I had the inter-cooler routing fully welded and powder coated......

PM me with your phone number if your interested in a partial trade
