1988 formula

Hey all im considering selling my 1988 Formula with 63,000 original miles 305 tpi car i just spent 4,000 in paint work it used to be light blue now it is metallic blue that they use on the viper gts.with the bulge in the hood done in a blue marble from house of colors. THIS CAR IS QUIET no squeaks or clunks that 3rd gen f-bodys are known to have. This car is a hard top car and has NEVER had the typical stress cracks that form on the corners near the window edge. ive replaced 80% of the front suspension and brakes, the car has dyno max cat back exhaust with black chrome tips, new KMC wheels and new kuhmo tires in the front and BFG drag radial in the back..all have maybee 100 miles on them, the windows are tinted with 5% tint, the rear is a 89 rear with the one year hard to find PBR brakes, the car has sub frame connectors and a wonder bar from spohn and lca`s and panhard bar from UMI,ive added underdrive pulleys, tpi foil, and a k&n filter..and a 75 shot from ZEX and the bottle is custom painted to match the car..I also up graded to a 91-92 spoiler..If i sold the car outright id be asking 4,500 alot for a third gen i know but this is one quiet clean low mileage car.

Re: 1988 formula

Great looking car.

A question: Are the '89 PBR brakes different from all the other year PBR brakes?

Re: 1988 formula

Well, I know that my car has the aluminum PBR calipers, but I was curious if the '89 pieces were different for some reason. Maybe I'll search the site to see if I can find the answer.

Anyway, I guess that's a free bump for your ad. Good luck selling what looks like a clean car.

89s had PBRs and a 9 bolt...thats what makes them special. I think 89-90 was the only year that you could get a 9bolt and PBRs (but I am not sure!) So the PBR calipers arent the hard to find part....the backing plates for the PBRs to the 9 bolt are.
