Car: 1988 Trans am GTA
Engine: corvette 350 swap
Transmission: t-5 swap
Axle/Gears: 3.27:1 borg warner 9-bolt w/ PBRs
1988 GTA project car, for real this time!
hey guys, i know i posted my GTA for sale here a while back, but i had a change of heart. but now it seems it has to go for real since my neighbors are jerks and have said if i don't have the car out by tuesday they're going to put a lien on my house. so let's get started...
1988 pontiac trans am GTA, 305 with 700R4 trans. borg warner 9 bolt with 3.27 gears. digital dash, T-tops, gold cross lace rims, non-1LE. flame red metallic with tan interior. leather seats with electronic bolsters.
just got done pulling the engine and trans out. engine was damaged so i threw it out. trans is still good and is in storage. i have all the parts that i took off the engine and engine bay.
body wise, the body is straight with a few small rust bubbles on the fender corners near the ground FX. nothing rusted through and very fixible. will need a repainting as the paint on the hood is faded and clear coat peeling off.
i really wanted to restore this car to when my brother bought her new, but the financial and now pressure from my town to get rid of it has pushed me too far. i hope she goes to some one who'll have the same vision as i did. make me an offer and i'll tell you yes or no.
