Hi everyone! I have a Red/black 89 Formula 305tpi 5speed car with a 9 bolt for sale. 155k 75% restored. Lots of time and money in this but with winter coming I don't have a place to store it. Here's a rundown of everything:
9 bolt with a 3.45 gear
new doors, glass, formula decals, window strips
rebuilt headlamp motors, new side mirrors(power)
fiberglass areo spoiler and new oem decklid (rust free)
Hurst shifter, center console, new window switches, new clutch pedal assembly, new dash pad, 140mph speedo
new dunlop tires, poly trans, torque arm mounts
305 short with stock cam, no noise, no smoke
vortec heads with 1.6 rockers
scroggin dickey base plate, slp runners, ported stock upper, bbk 52mm
new distributor, crane ignition, egr, air delete
edlbrock shorties, y pipe with no cats, and a flowmaster cat-back
comes with extra parts

This is a great car, surface rust on the back of the rockers, a little on the rear wheel wells, floors can be saved, strut towers are solid. Please somebody with a good home finish this car! 3700.00

 

Damn, nice ride. If it wasnt illegal for california smog in every way possible, I would consider buying it and having it shipped out here

I think the price is to high.

However it does look nice and if you wait you will probably find the guy looking for a 5-speed car.

hello i think i found the care crying out to me. i have been looking for a good 5speed formula with tpi. um if you could get the car up and a couple pics of the floors i would appreciate very ver very interested.

 

The price is not too high ORIGINAL 5 speeds are hard to find. And this car looks to be in good shape.

 

There not rare. What you mean is uncommon. I think for that car if it was reliable to drive its not to high. To try and sell in the economy right now eh.

 

I see no underhood pics or interior pics. That makes me pass it up. Too bad too, I'm well within driving distance.

Where did it say the car was unreliable? It looks like a decent car. And has alot of mods to motor. I don't know about your area, but original tpi 5spd is rare over here. Lots of converted. I noticed on ur avatar that you're doing a T5 conversion.

when you say "floors can be saved" what does that imply??

 

it means that they are still there and if the car isn't exposed to inclamite weather they will be fine. They have normal decay of a 20yr old midwest car. there is one hole about 3'' in diameter on the rf floor where it meets the pinchweld which can be fixed with fiberglass. other than that no carpet shows.
