91 Trans AM GTA 5.7L For Sale $6500 Firm
I've posted this car on here before and recevied several inquiries but nothing serious. So here we go again at a reduced price.
91 Trans Am GTA
5.7L TPI
approx. 76,000
Red exterior
Black/gray leather/ette interior
Firestone Firehawk tires have about 4,000 miles on them
TPIS (which is located close to me) tuned the car
30 lb fuel injectors
Car runs and drives great.
Things wrong with car:
Driver side door won't unlock with key from outside
Driver side window rattles/works intermittently
For those of you that have seen my older thread post of this car, the rocker panel on the driver side door was replaced. Again, car is in great condition for a 20+ year old vehicle. Car also has 1 3/4 shorty headers and slightly larger exhaust that sounds good but not obnoxiously loud.
If you're looking for an unmolested GTA that you can restore with relative ease or just drive for fun as is, this is it.
Sorry, I cannot go any lower. Last year the transmission went out on me so I had to have it completely rebuilt at a cost of $3500.00. Corvette servos and uprated parts were used for the rebuild by a local tranmission shop.
Lastly, I am including with the car a set of SLP Tri Y headers I purchased from another member here along with an SLP muffler (two on the left style that I purchased from yet another member). The parts were never installed on my car so I don't even know if they fit. For those of you that know what SLP stands for and what these parts are, they have value in and of themselves (and no, sorry, I won't sell them separately - I want everything out of my garage all at once :-)
Please no tire kickers or wafflers. If you're serious feel free to pm me and I will send you pictures. I like talking cars but don't have time on my hands to waste (which, along with the garage space it takes up, is one of the reasons I am selling the car).
$6500.00 firm.
Thanks for looking.

I hear that- keep your eyes peeled there are lots of good ones left out there -maybe not quite at the bargain that they were in 2013 though - watch facebook marketplace daily - the 91-92 gta's arent as popular as the 87-89's.

Appreciate the advice ughmas thank you. Yeah I looked online and the drop off of production numbers for 91-92 was massiveee. It bogles my mind as to me every GTA version was the greatest car money could by back then. How could people not have wanted them? Boggles my mind lol.

I can tell ya the reason. I was a teen in 83 and have owned an 86TA and an 88 GTA. When the new nose came on them along with the big steering wheel interest waned. Many at the time wondered why they put that nose on it. It was beautiful before.
Re: 91 Trans AM GTA 5.7L For Sale $6500 Firm
I definitely agree with you on the beauty aspect of the 87-90 nose. Sleek and gorgeous. But I personally also am a fan of the 91/92 nose cone. I kind of resembles the beak of an Eagle, tying to the whole "Firebird" name. The ground effects and spoiler design of the 91-92 also intrigue me but its true - you need to win over the masses in order to be successful. Deep down I believe it was GM screwing over Pontiac. Always trying to hinder their rightful success.

I like the looks of 87 to 90 GTA the best and the 91/92 Formula the best. Don't care too much for the 91/92 GFX but I also like the 91/92 spoiler the best.
