WTB/Trade for 3rd Gen
I'm looking to buy a fuel injected V8 5-speed hardtop, TBI or TPI. I have around $2,500 in cash, or a '79 Firebird 350/TH-350 to trade. As much as I love the second gen, I can't help but notice all the things I want to do are stock in the third/fourth gen cars. I can go into more detail and post pics if anyone is interested in trading. Thanks.
*info and pics below*
I forgot to add earlier I have no way of getting a car from more than 100 or so miles away if I'm buying, I'd have to have someone drive me as I don't have a truck and trailer etc...

Re: WTB/Trade for 3rd Gen
I have a 1991 firebird formula L98 350 TPI WS6 car. I'm asking $3,800 cash for it, but might be interested in a trade for your '79 and some cash to boot.
Mine is an auto, as they didn't put the T5 man. trans behind the L98 350 engines because the torque would break the trans.
My 1991 formula has a posi disk brake rear end, WS6 performace suspension package, power windows, and locks, cruise, tilt, factory oil cooler, factory dual cat exhaust, flowmaster muffler, etc etc
Here is my ad on CL

Re: WTB/Trade for 3rd Gen
If I wanted to deal with a manual conversion I'd do it to the '79.
Thanks for the offer though.
Earlier I was on my phone and didn't feel like typing out lots of information, but now that I'm on the computer I'll do such now. Currently it has a Chevrolet 350 bored .040" over to make it a 357, it has a 3/4 cam, 12:1 compression, Weiand intake, Edelbrock 750 cfm carb with electric choke, GM HEI ignition, and a recent tune-up with NGK G-power plugs and Federal 8.5mm wires. After that the carb was dialed in for maximum engine vacuum. Also a new Stant SuperStat and radiator cap, along with a new fuel filter and fuel cap. Runs great on 93.

I thought I should mention it has a clean Alabama title in my name, so that always makes life easier. Also took the time to get a few quick pictures with the phone:

I have a 1988 Formula t-tops, 305 tbi, t5 5 speed. She is a bit rough but runs good. I drive it about 150 mi a few times per week for work. Engine runs great. I think the clutch or clutch fork needs to be replaced.
Interior upholstery needs to be redone.
PM me. I can give you more details. I'm looking to sell it cheap.

Figure will give it one more go before I just take the risk of selling the second gen and hoping I can find a 3rd or 4th gen car to replace it.
