It looks as if we've finally managed to meet the 10 person minimum needed to get this GP started. I spoke with 92blue over the weekend and suggested that we set the deadline to April 6 . That gives everyone who've shown interest in this item, a full month to come up with the money.

Before you place your order though, please read the following.

After selecting the headliner kit that matches your vehicle (Hard-top/T-top) select the material color you want and then add the item to your cart and proceed to the checkout. You'll be asked to register before you can proceed with the order which only takes a minute or two to complete. Once finished, the next screen will ask you to choose your preferred method of payment (credit card/money order/paypal) along with two option box's.

***************
***************

1. "COMMENTS"

- In this box , let them know that your a member of thirdgen.org and let them know your user-name and that your part of the headliner GP. You may also want to confirm with them, which style headliner you ordered and the color you ordered it in, just to be on the safe side and avoid any chances of the wrong style/color headliner accidentally being shipped.

---------------------

2. "COUPON/GIFT CERTIFICATE "

- Here you will type in one of the following 3 digit codes:

* GP1 (Will provide a $40 discount for those wanting to order just a headliner, sunvisors, sail panels kit.
* GP2 (Will provide a $55 discount for those wanting to order a ttop headliner, sunvisors, sail panels kit, and a pair of ttop sunshades.

***************
***************

Your credit card will NOT be charged until the order has been shipped and once it does, you will be emailed a tracking number.

Any questions you may have, feel free to post them here and either myself or 92blue will try and answer them as soon as possible.

Once you've placed an order, let us know on this thread so I can update the numbers accordingly. That way anyone can visit the thread at any time and see how many orders have been placed and how many we still need to get the GP discount.

Yes, we can order anytime from now until the 6th of April. Provided we have the 10 orders placed by then, we'll get the GP discount. If by the 6th, TPI parts have not received the minimum amount of orders, the deal falls through.

Hope everything goes smoothly from now 'till then...

bigrubee, check out the very first post in this thread. All the information you need to know about this group purchase and how to go about placing an order is explained there. There's even a link at the bottom of that post which will take you directly to TPI Part's webpage and right into their "headliner" section.

Hodge, we received your order ok... just gotta wait now for the deadline and all the other folks.

I'm aware the only options on the site are USPS.... however, the headliner kits will be shipping with UPS.

If I place an order now and we don't meet the 10 order minimum, what happens with my order? Will it be cancelled or will I be stuck paying full price?

I'll buy at the specail price as it's a $20 savings from most other places, but the full price is more than others.

If the 10 order minimum isn't met, those who did place an order will NOT be charged full price. You'd most likely be contacted by email or perhaps by "92blue" right here on this thread, letting you know that there weren't enough orders placed. You'll be given the option whether or not you want to go ahead and pay regular price, or back out and wait for the next GP.

Perhaps 92blue can chime in here and set the record straight...

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?

That is correct. If we don't meet the 10 order minimum, we will contact each person that has placed an order and let them know that there weren't enough buyers to go ahead with the group purchase. You would have the option at that point to order at regular price, or to cancel your order.

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?

Update: Some of you guys have requested color samples. Due to the high popularity of the grey tones, we ran out on a couple of colors. We were expecting to have more available last week (which didn't happen), but we received them this morning. We are mailing samples out this afternoon to everyone that has been waiting. You should be receiving them very shortly.

So far, 3 orders have been placed. However, quite a few people were waiting on fabric samples, and are just receiving them now most likely. We need 7 orders to make this happen.

Thanks,

come on guys. 3 more days left and only 3 orders. I wasn't even one of the original people that said they wanted in and I'm one of those 3 orders. Does that mean that only 2 people out of the 10 that commited while this was being set-up have actually ordered?

Ok, we are at 4 orders now. 6 more to go.

camarojustin, samples may take a little longer to reach you than the folks in the states since you are in Canada, but if you haven't received them by the deadline, let me know. I can work with you so you can submit your order after the deadline. I wouldn't want you to order without being certain of what color you need.

Thanks,
92blue

Update: We have 6 orders that have been placed, and 4 more to go. Just a reminder, you have until April 6 to order to be part of the Group Purchase. If you have requested fabric samples and haven't received them yet, let us know so we can work something out with you on ordering after the deadline.

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?

Today's the deadline ladies and gentlemen, and we still have 3 more orders needed to meet the minimum order amount.

We've got 7 confirmed orders already placed and have 3 more to go. Hopefully, of the 10 remaining members who said they were interested, at least three of them can make it.

I'm assuming we have until 11:59pm tonight to place an order so that gives us a few more hours.

Hope this works out.

We are now at 8 orders. We need 2 more to meet the 10 order minimum. There is still a few hours left, if anyone else wants to order, this would be the time to do so.

roughskinjrz, we received your paypal payment ok. Not sure why the Paypal invoice didn't work, but everything is ok now.

camarojustin, we received your order as well. I'll go ahead and send you a Paypal invoice with the corrected shipping total in a moment.

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?

Well, from the looks of it, unless 2 other members placed an order and we don't know about it, it looks as if the GP discount cannot be given since we came up short on the orders...

Oh well. Can't say we didn't try. You win some, you lose some. Life goes on.

Perhaps we can try again later on. Maybe during the summer month's when more of us have our cars out.

As "92Blue" stated earlier, those who placed an order won't be charged full price for the headliner combo, unless you're willing to pay the original price. TPI parts will contact you to confirm whether you still want to go through with it.

Guess we'll just have to try this one again later on and hope for better results...

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?

Well, we ended up at 8 orders. Seems like we found 2 interested members a day late, lol. How about we do the following, lets give Orizon and pondriver a chance to order, as well as anyone else who is interested at the moment. We'll temporarily extend the deadline considering how close it was to meeting 10 orders.

Basically, those of you that would like to order, but missed the deadline, go ahead and place your order now. It would be reasonable to allow this to go a day or two further considering how close we were to 10 orders. If we can't reach 10 in a few days, I'll leave it up to LT1Fun to determine if he wants to extend the deadline or close the GP, as he's put alot of time and effort into organizing this Group Purchase.

Thanks,
92blue

I agree if you want one go ahead and pay the money, if not going to do it then just say so, so we can quit holding everyone else up.

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?

Update: We haven't had any more TGO members place an order to be part of the GP. However, we had 1 customer place an order for a headliner kit this morning, and 1 customer call in to order this afternoon as well. I mentioned the GP to both of them, and both decided to jump in.

So basically, we have the 10 orders we need, and this GP is now closed.

Thanks to all of you that have been waiting patiently. I'll go ahead and process your orders this afternoon. Once they headliner kits ship out, we will be emailing you your tracking numbers. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks,
92blue
