Just want to let everyone know that most orders shipped out today. We will be emailing everyone with their tracking number, some of you have already gotten your tracking number.
The remaining orders should be shipping in the next few days. We'll email the remaining members once they ship.
Thanks,
92blue

mine says it will be here soemtime today then i plan on installing it. do you need to let it sit for a while?
recieved the headliner, looks GREAT, but doesnt fit too well. if i get the rear to fit, the front is too long and doesnt line up. if i bring the front back the rear goes too far back. will have to find a way to modify it.

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?
Wow. This was a major surprise. I got a huge box delivered to my house just the other day and the UPS guy (as usual) held it for ransom and demanded I pay him $70. The last time I checked this thread, was on the day of the deadline and we were 1 or 2 people short so I figured that was the end of it and unsubscribed from the thread, thinking I'd try another GP a month or two down the road and hope for better results next time around.
When the UPS guy showed up at the door I was like WTF
I didn't order anything recently (having thought this GP never got off the ground).
When I removed the paperwork off the box to see what it was, it totally caught me by surprise to see that is was my headliner.
Looks like the GP went through after all!
I had to borrow the cash to pay him off and get the thing but I'm VERY happy with what came in the box.
The headliner looks mint. Very high quality as are the sail panels and the sunvisors. The color is exactly what I was hoping for and all in all, it's a first class package. I bought a complete carpet from TPI parts a week prior to placing my order for the headliner kit and the quality of the carpet was just as good as well.
TPI parts definitely sells high quality products and I'll definitely be doing more business with them in the future.
Many thanks to 92blue for coming through for us on this GP.
I'll post some pic's of the install once I get my car back from the transmission shop.
Can't wait!
Thanks again 92blue!

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?
This thread seems to have died off and I was just wondering if everyone had already received their headliners and all is well.
If you already got yours, let us know so this GP thread can officially be closed

got mine a while ago. was looking to install some of it today but I had a question.
How is everyone installing the sail panels. the new ones don't have the metal hooks on the back. do you just take the hooks off the old one and super glue them to the new one?

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?
well i know one thing, mine sure didn't fit that well, one side looks good, then the other side has gaps, and at the back the are 2 gaps near the plastic trim peice at the hatch... the holes hardly came close to lining up, especially at the sunvisor mounts...
as for the sail panels, be sure you bend the perfectly to match the contours of the trim, if not the velcro wont stay and it will be a bitch!
overall, it's an ok kit, but the manufacturer needs a little better qa, just my .02 cents...

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?
mine fit pretty good except the front, the sun visor holes dont line up, and is close to an inch too far in the front towards the winshield but the rear lines up nice.
Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?
I had to SUPER GLUE the metal things on the sail panels, let them set up for the day, and I had trouble also with the sunvisors, sent them back to the manuf., and they are sending me new hardware to install the new ones on. They claim that will resolve the problem. I will let you all know how they go in. I agree they need some work (QA) on the after market kits! My 2 cents.

Let's do it again. Someone somewhere please contact whoever is in charge and let's do it! Let get some more people and more manufacturers to do group buys! Let's start new threads, they should make it so that us late joiners to this site has the same opportunities as the earlier ones. Who's with me?

Re: Gauging interest: Group purchase on new new ABS headliner ?
I thought I posted in here the other day while I was browsing though, but apparently that wasn't the case,
If there are enough interested members, we can do the headliner kit GP once again. However, I'll have to see what we can do on pricing since our cost has changed from earlier this year.

We went ahead and started a new GP for the headliner kits, as some of you have been asking for.
