You have anything for the high beams, too?? I'm interested but I'd really like to be able to do all four at once.

 

10k is gonna be more blue than white & not very good light output compared to what it could & should be. Drop them down to a 5k (6k at the highest) & you've got a good product.

I would be all over a kit like this is the light output wasnt so blue. I just want a pure white output.

 

I believe we also can get the more white output bulbs....I am checking on it and will post another reply as soon as I find out. I think they may take a little longer to get.

One other concern comes to mind... There appear to only be two wires on these kits. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the factory low beams a dual filament bulb? How does this affect their behavior for lowbeam vs highbeam use? Do they stay on at normal brightness when the highbeams are on, or do they only work on the lowbeam setting?

 

The kit comes with an H4 HID bulb, you are correct in saying the factory has 3 wires as it does. When changing over to the HID kit they only use a power and a ground. If you want high beams you simply have to use 2 kits and both will come on at the same time. From experience you should only need the low beams as they are bright enough unless you just want the high beams for the looks.

Hey blue I'd like to see what ur asking for just curious. Also the light output is way better than I had yes it was ur yellow from autozone lights. I am very pleased with them as it took me about 15 mins to install them full plug and play and when try are off you couldnt even tell they are aftermarket. Not bad at all for price and I'm going to have to get with Bruce on those brighter bulbs before the darker months come in. Thanks hawks!!!

 

Retrofitting is when you take OEM projectors and attach them to a 4x6 housing and use real xenon HID lighting. You get the cutoff also because of the projectors. You woukd typically use the afermarket plastic housings on ebay since you have to cut the back side off and fiberglass the prohectors into them.

 

I will check on the retrofits again with Bruce. Steven, thank you for the input on the wires.

Everyone, we can get a 6k bulb with a white light and an 8k bulb with more of a blueish light. These take 2-3 weeks to ship but will be at the same price as the Group Purchase price. Let me know when you place your orders which bulb you would prefer.

Personally... I want the blue . It will fit with the "theme" of my car. I built a custom gauge setup with autometer cobalts. And the interior lights are all blue leds. I've been wanting to change headlights for awhile. The dull yellow bulbs just looked out of place.

Would like to see some pictures of the light pattern. While they look nice so were, for the most part, the H4 conversion you see on ebay, but they pretty much sucked as headlights. Also would like to see if they are going to be blinding the on coming traffic like a lot of the ricers around town do. Overall I need performance headlights not show lights.

I would like to see Hawks make the retro headlight with projector like BlueZee28 was talking about. I would see the projector better distributing the HID higher output of light then the simple housing.

Last question is for Hawks, Are these legal on the road? I'm not going to get a pair and see "Off roading only" stamped across them, am I?
