i'm confused on what kind of z28 i have
i have a 92 z28 5 spd with the 305, my speedometer goes up to 145 and redlines at 5500 rpm. does this mean i have the g92 package because i thought that would have my 1/4 mile times in the mid 14's stock. i already have a few mods (nothing too expensive) and i'm running mid 15's. i'm confused. please help

If you wanna know if you have G92 or not just look at the RPO's.

In 92 if you got the TPI/5-spd you automatically got G92.......
This may be true for Firebird, but not Camaro. According to GM literature, "Optional Performance axle ratio is available only with Z28 Coupe with 5.0 Liter TPI and 5-speed V8, and includes specific performance equipment when ordered with or without air conditioning."
I can also ask Tim Burgess to confirm this as he is the original owner of a 1992 Z28, 305 TPI/5-speed with G92.
To answer the original question, all 1992 Z28's have the 145-mph speedo. The tach redline was different (5000 or 5500), depending on which drivetrain combination was used.
