92 T/A 'verts
Does anyone know what the production numbers were on these cars? I checked the FAQ's but this was the only year not listed. Also, my brother found the car and swears its a Formula. I doubt it is but does anyone know if they ever made such a thing. I should have pics and other info this week to help clear up some of my questions but any help would be appreciated.

I dont know how many T/A verts were made but there weren't any official formula verts in 92 seen some aftermarket jobs though. Haven't seen any formulas done by ASC but that doesn't mean they didn't do a few. The only factory authorized verts I am aware of (firebirds) are base birds and TA's, no GTA or Formula. Where did he see the formula? There was one advertised at a dealership around here that he swears is factory original. I checked the VIN and RPO's and it isn't but he still swears it is.
Seems like I remember seeing the production numbers for '92 'verts in general to be something like 665... not sure exactly. That figure is for base 'verts and T/As, however... if anyone knows, I'd love to know how many were T/As... I don't think Pontiac tracked that sort of thing, tho.....

i think pontiac was the only one that kept pretty good track of thier production figures....
according to my pontiac firebird photo history book ....
91 base firebird verts... 950
91 trans am verts......... 555
92 base firebird verts... 1,265
92 trans am verts......... 663
but i have heard a lot of different figures on both years so it depends on who you talk to .... these figures are what i use as a general reference....
but anyway thought i might shoot these at ya.....

something is amiss because the 8th didget is a 5, thats the engine didtet, did you forget one?
DOE! I figured it out, you forgot the 2, your Vin should be: 1G2FS33E5ML247097
thought it looked short...

Thanks for the help guys
I finally got some info on the car.
- 92 TA 'vert
- 68K miles
- 305 TPI/5spd
- 4 wheel disc brakes
- 16" crosslaced wheels
- red/blk top/blk cloth interior
- all the normal power options
Looks like I might be adding another 'bird to the stable
Anybody want a 4th gen 'vert?
