These figures are straight out of the '87 sales brochure for a manual tranny IROC:

170 hp at 4400 rpm / 250 ft-lbs at 2800 for the carbed 305.

215 hp at 4400 rpm for the TPI 305. I don't have the torque rating handy, and it isn't listed in the brochure.

G92 makes no difference to hp, just how it is laid down

I thought that the N10 Dual exhaust added 10 HP because of the dual cats. What are the ratings for a 88,89,90 TPI 5-speed in the sales brochure

In '88:

L03 - 170 hp @ 4400
LB9 - 220 hp @ 4400 (195 hp @ 4000 auto)

Obviously sales brochures aren't the best source for this info since GM certainly wasn't pushing the power #s as part of their sales approach.

Just checked my MVMA books, and in '88 Chevrolet totally left out the hp #'s.

In my '90 MVMA specs it reads as follows:

L03 manual - 170hp @ 4000, 255 lb/ft @ 2400
L03 auto - same

LB9 manual - 210hp @ 4400, 285 lb/ft @ 3200
LB9 auto - same
LB9 manual (dual exaust) - 230hp @ 4400, 300 lb/ft @ 3200

So, a 20 hp difference and 15 lb/ft difference with dual exaust.

Why are there two differnt HP ratings for the LB9 with 5-speed in 89 and90 if it does not change the HP ratings in Tech Data on this page? Did N10 always come with G92, or was that just in 89 and 90? Thanks
