Last built 92 camaro?

Anybody know any info on the last built 92 camaro? Like was it a RS or Z28 or if GM kept it. Just curious.

I do not have an answer for your question Rods92Z but I just wanted to ask you a question. I was wondering if your stripes were factory because I have never seen this color combo.
Have any more pics?? Nice car btw.

No the stripes are aftermarket along with the white paint. The white was custom mixed based off arctic white but made brighter. The stripes are based off GM 92 medium mettalic gray/ gun metal gray. About the only thing original on my car is the interior, most of it anyway. Take a look at my site http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/rods92z

I believe this came up about a year ago. It was I believe it red Heritage package z28.

Somebody had some video of a newscast from it when it was assembled in Van Nuys!!!

I think the guy even followed the last 92 through the assembly line.

Of course, this is waht I heard through the grapevine.

Topduarte is right but I'm going to add a little more info. The last '92 Camaro went to a guy in Iowa. I believe his name is Leonard Stevenson. It was a bright red Z28 350 with the heritage option and red leather interior. Also it got the silver wheels not the red ones. He did indeed follow his Camaro down the line and shook the hand of every worker who helped assemble his car. The video of the news cast came from CNN. Also it is stated that GM built 70,007 Camaros in 1992. This particular cars VIN is 70,008. I think GM kept the Camaro built right before this one which is 70,007. It is identical to the last car but has a TPI 305 and T-tops.

The person who bought the car was also a member of the Mid Iowa Camaro Club. He moved to somewhere in California if I remeber correctly.

I have the Hot Rod with the article somewhere, I'm sure. If I remember right, he had all the assemblers sign the thing, too. I seem to remember Sharpie marks all over the TPI plenum and runners.

I told Leonard that he has been mentioned here before and since he has joined the boards, I'm bringing up some of the related threads for his pleasure. Maybe we can convince him to keep the car.

I hope he'll chime in, he would be a board "Hero" of some sort.

The last 3rd gen, I believe, was a red Z28 with black heritage stripes; it was being auctioned on eBay several weeks ago and had pictures of the car on the assembly line in addition to autographs of assembly line workers. I should have bookmarked the auction, but wasn't thinking about it at the time.

We are aware of the auction. The owner of the car joined the boards and these threads were brought back to life for his enjoyment. We are in the process of getting copies of his documentation and pictures. They will be stored here soon hopefully.

No, its not Vats. The injectors are junk. I will be removing them and sending them in to have cleaned and flow matched. Not that it really matters........the car isn't going anywhere.
