I like the 1991 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z28, black. It costs more but the mileage is half of the 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS Coupe.

How much do you think that car is worth on looks alone? I'm going to see if I can meet the owner to take it for a spin. I want to spend up to $8,000 on a nice Camaro.

Take the Z28- more hp- less mileage- faster too!

Any idea how much HP the Z28 puts out if it is stock?

205 (5 speed or auto) to 230 hp (for a 5spd dual cats) 240 I think for the 350/auto

Spend the money and get a nice TPI IROC- I made the mistake of getting a TBI car- you start out pretty far behind in terms of performance.

I fooled myself into thinking I didn't want a fast car- thats why I bought the TBI- got bored REAL quick.

You' have to ask the seller- I didn't see any powertrain info. I did notice the T-roofs- so that
rules out the 350 (they were unavailbe with T-roofs after 1990 and up)

Well he said it's a 305. Does that mean it's a 5.7 Liter or a 5.0?

I think I will probably get this car:

http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/v...&ac_afflt=none

The black Camaro was in a wreck and the rear was replaced.

This car is a 25th anniversary, which means they put new headers, exhaust, and a high performance tranny in it. The guys says it will do circles around any stock 350. It is now lowered to $4,995. He said it runs awesome, should I get it?

Too bad about the black one.

I don't know what you mean by-

"This car is a 25th anniversary, which means they put new headers, exhaust, and a
high performance tranny in it."

Who is they? GM never did this. And it will take alot more then headers, exhuast and a "high performance tranny (sic- it's the same as a 350's)

YOur down 70hp and 80lbs of torque- those mods don't narrow that huge cassam very much.

If I were you, just sit tight and wait for anoither TPI car to come along.

Well,

The guy at the dealership where the car is says that this car is a 92 305 TPI 25th Anniversary. He said that GM added Moroso headers, custom exhaust, a high performance tranny, and other things I can't remember. Anyway, I would like to find some more information about these 25th Ann. cars that GM made.

He wasnt telling the truth... GM did nothing to the 25th anniversary cars other then give some of them the heritage stripping. If it by chanced rolled off the dealer lot with all the add-ins than that was a custom job done by the dealership, sort of like the Tom Henry Camaros or Berger Camaros... None of them came from the factory like that.

Thanks for the info. I am going to check it out sometime this week. Do you think $4,995 is a good deal on a car like this if it is mechanically sound?

So it is a TPI? You have the E code in the VIN and that's for a TBI.
