My Car

Hey everyone, I'm new here and don't know much abut third gens. I recently sold my '94 Trans AM (first car) because I saw a 1991 black Z28 convertible with a 5 speed sitting in someone's driveway with a for sale sign on it and I new I had to have it. The same day I sold my car, I went and picked that one up. Anyway, can anyone possibly tell me a little more than I know about this car? Like I said, I don't know much about thirdgens, and was never really interested in them until I saw this car. Also, the paint on the car is fading, and I was thinking about painting it. Should I keep it black, or does anyone have any personal opinions on color?

Thanks

First, keep it Black, it's the color to have.

Second, decode your vin number on this site.

Third, decode your RPO codes, found in the console, on this site.

This will give quite a bit of information on your car.

Thanks for the help labrat.

Also, Another question. I was thinking of having the car painted yellow, as I like the color and it is uncommon, especially around here. Does anyone have any reasons why I shouldn't have it done? Also, Could anyone possibly get me a carfax report? The VIN is

1G1FP33F2ML103005

I'd greatly appreciate it.

On a side note, this is my first third gen, I sold my 4th gen Trans Am to get it, and I just want to say, I haven't looked back since.

Convertible 5spds are pretty uncommon- there are no production numbers to prove this but the fact they are hard to find, supports my statement.

IMO, repaint it black- and buy a SS hood- and SS wheels- that'd look wicked.

seeing that the car is rare and all you are better off keeping it black because it will be worth more money later on if it's the original color
