Convertible Berlinetta
I saw a convertible Berlinetta on the road today. It was red with Berlinetta exterior appointments and red-trimmed silver-cut Berlinetta wheels, tan-colored top. Looked to be a low miler from all the shine, and looked awesome in motion. Were there ever any factory-authorized convertible Berlinettas or was this a customized one?
Thanks

That would have to be custom. The Berlinetta was replaced by the LT for 1987, the first year of factory authorized camaro vert's.
By the way, according to Willie, only one LT 1987 convertible is known to exist.

The one I saw was *really* similar to this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1844534916
Except the inner parts of the wheels, where the aluminum is not shaved off, it was red in there, and the top was tan not black.
Only one 1987 LT? hmm.. I don't suppose that ebay auction is it? Looks great either way.
