or would i just be wasting my time? could probably get it for 150 in the morning, dunno if is worth the effort or not, too many of thexe cars exist, too mabny beaters, evertyone owns one or four of them, anything special i should lok for on it ? how could i find out ratio of rear without pulling cover ? probably get it if its 3.42 or 3.73, i think only t5 and 700r4 cars mainly are 3.42 or 3.73 in 82-84

what do you all thnk, open to any suiggestions, may part it or run a motor in it if its a factory 8 and auto car, hell it may run even, dunno,. wont get it if body is eaten, wont know til morning, parts dont sell off these cars yet, so i dunno,,,, ive scrapped alot of good stuff, anyoen want any trans am tailights or console lid or pillar sail panels or dash puch or mint rear split buckets or anything ? i have stuff here already as it is that i dont need,.

Anyway, I couldn't tell if it's worth it because you don't know any of the details like if the body had cancer, drivetrain combo, etc....

 

i was on break, had to hurry, i just got back from the plant just now to check on this, and am loaded on caffeine as usual

i assume drivetrain is in since i can see dual exhausts under car, hood is popped on it, i just went by, didnt see any holes in body on pass side anyways, usually these things when are beaters daily drivers have holes in body and are eaten alive, but this one seems to not have anything horrible that i have been able to tell as of yet, will go by later this morning and see what its about,. i only want it if the body is absolutely solid including tight door hinges, or if its got a V8/auto drivetrain, prefer it to be blown engine in good solid body then id put in a 350 and sell it for proibably 800 or so. maybe paint it and sell for 1500 if all else is ok on car,

thanks for anything else, gear ratio is what im concerned about, hopefully its an 84 then it wil have RPo SPID label so i can know rear axle and original drivetrain, i know both of the 305 RPO codes,. so. GU6 is 3.42 and GT4 is 3.73 dunno others

 

hi, nope not getting it, its got bad rot in pass side door bottom outer skin all way through(typicl for here) and major rough surface rust on qheel arches all around and all along lower body and door handle broken gone and 2.2L(i think thats hwat it says n the label underhood) converted to what looks like a 305 but not finished and i dont want yet another 305, so,

maybe next time or something, meanwhile the 82 trans am sits yet longer without an engine to put in it,.... the 90 cavalier( i gave to my grandma cuz she had nothing) got totaled in a wreck cuz a kid my age n a big 4x4 hit her this mornign, so i cant take motor from caprice for the t/a, need caprice for daily driving now for her, so., gotta go get the front header headlights panel assembly off the 88 in the yard i know of in the morning for the caprice(83) since it was broken and i removed it already anyways,.
