Yup it's for sure and S/E. I owned an 82 myself. Nothing special but I can tell you it should not have a F.I. V6, it should just have a 2.8L 2-barrel carb:
LC1 (V6)
2.8L / 173 C.I.
8.5:1
102@4800 RPM
142@2400 RPM
2 Barrel Carburetor
LC1 (V6)
2.8L / 173 C.I.
8.5:1
102@4800 RPM
142@2400 RPM
2 Barrel Carburetor

I hate to be blunt, but "Trans Am Special Edition" never existed in the third gen. it's one of those leftover myths that nobody ever got around to fixing on the VIN decoder. I assume your VIN 5th digit is an "X", and if it is, you have a Firebird S/E. S/E stands for Special Edition. Basically what an S/E is is a more luxurious model than the base 'Bird, with a V6 as standard equipment, whereas a base Bird had a 4-cylinder as standard equipment. Many interior luxury options were standard equipment on an S/E but they were optional, extra charge on base Bird and on Trans Am. You could get the 4cyl as credit delete or the LG4 V8 optionally. The standard suspension was level 2 which was a soft smooth ride better than the base Bird's. Optional was WS6 with a stiff racecar-like ride, just like on Trans Am, and added bigger sway bars, better springs, bigger wheels, positraction, and 4 wheel disc. There are more details but to sum it up, base bird was "economy", Trans Am was "performance", and S/E was "luxury". It was very much a GTA precursor, except far less popular than the GTA.
Your VIN should be 1G2AX8714CN501613.
One more thing: S/E's never got recaro seats. They got mandatory Viscount Bucket Seats with PMD logo on the backrest. That's the only option for 1982. If you have anything other than that, the seats have been swapped out.
Hope this helps
