Seat Fabric Q. About 84 15th Annv. Recaro Seats
I need someone to tell me exactly how much or to slighty over estimate how much in "Meters" of fabric it would take to recover just center portion of the front and back seats.
I'm trying to work a deal for some fabric and when I do I'll let you other 15th Annv. guys know so you can get in on it with me but I need to know this first.
Thanks!

Tough one Alex !
Because your using a material with a large pattern repeat, the matchwork will call for considerably more yardage than a plain or nondirectional small print......
Rolls of fabric are usually 54" wide, an upholster yard is different than a std sq yd. You need to know the width of the Recaro fabric
It would be safe to say you could do your job with 3-4 yds.
I can ask my guy to confirm this.
I would buy as much of it as I could, you cn always sell whats left !

The visible portion of the seat fabric is about 1.3 x .3 meters. However, I've never had my seats apart so I don't know how much material goes around behind in the upholstering process.
About the repeating pattern, do you have access to and are you planning to use original 15th Ann. Recaro seat fabric? If so, remember that the embossed writing is not the same top to bottom. At the top it reads:
Trans Am
Recaro
and then down the rest of the fabric it reads:
Trans Am
Trans Am
If you do have access to original fabric by all means buy as much as you can!! I would certainly buy several yards from you just to have it for a rainy day!
Good luck.

Thanks!
Actually the fabric is on 1 big roll. The portion with RECARO and the portions without are all the same roll, see what I mean? It's just that the word RECARO is spread out far apart so there is enough fabric to do the backseats inbetween. I'm bad at explaining things I know.
I'll let you know what kind of a deal I can make so you and all other interested 15th owners can get in on it.
