It's impossible to say. GM didn't keep compounded stats. We can tell you how many 5 speed cars there were, how many L69 cars there were, how many had disk brakes and how many cars had a rear wiper... but there's no way to know how many had all of that.

Your car didn't have a 9 bolt unless somebody swapped it in. The Camaro wasn't available with a 9 bolt until somewhere around 88 (The exact year escapes me).

an 85 IROC with the L69 and 5 speed is probably the least common for that year, still doesnt mean there arent thousands like it the rear wiper is kinda rare, I've never seen one around here, wish *I* had one on mine! I think they discontinued the rear wiper option in 86? altogether.

They still had the wiper in 86, but not many had it. I saw an 86 Z28 with a wiper the other day... only one I've seen in person.

I don't really like the wiper. It would have been nice on my daily driver, but I think it looks horrible.

I have an 85 IROC, discs at the corners, 5-speed, though LG4, and the rear wiper (and in my case the washer, which sits on the roof of the car). It's not useful and quite frankly is ugly.

Here's a pic. The 'nozzle' for the washer and the wiper arm can be seen if you look closely.

Thanks for the replies. I thought I might get flamed after I posted and saw the sticky. The reason I was asking is that a friend of mine wants a 3rd gen and we found this one for $750. It will not run, the guy says the carb is bad, it needs a paint job, and new seats, carpet, and dash pad. I'm not sure if hes gonna buy it or not and I thought just by chance we might have found a rare iroc.
Thanks,
Bryan

It's an unusual car, not many made, so $750 might not be a bad price depending on the amount of money needed to get it running

I'm curious to know how they could put the rear wash/wipe AND the mandatory third brake light on the same car. 86 was the first year for the light. The squirt nozzle would be totally blocked by the third brake light. If anyone has a pic, please post it. I've never seen a confirmed 86 with both and I gotta think they never made 'em.

1,566 86 Camaros had the rear wiper at a cost of $125.

Those are stock fog lights. My trim rings were totally wasted, so I bought some used, refinished them and the brackets. I've yet to find any aftermarket fog lights that are even remotely similar to the stockers.

I think the washer nozzle was integrated into the wiper arm in 86

whenever I see a rear wash/wipe car, I always look for the little "nipple" on the roof which is the squirt nozzle. But if it was integrated into the wiper arm itself, that might explain why it's not there on 86's. it would also make it a 1-year design, unless 85 was that way too. Weird, but interesitng.
