does anyone know how many LT package camaros were built in 1987?

wow, thats not very many at all. i just bought one and the thing is mint. loaded with t-tops and everything. should i keep it factory, or will it never be worth anyting stock? because i was going to swap in my carbed 350 out of my old camaro.

Option production figures stated in the White Book for 1987 are grossly in error. I've elaborated on this issue on a couple of threads here on this board in the last year. What I need to do is put this info onto a "sticky", which I will soon. For now, you might want to perform a search for "LT", "1987 production numbers", or related verbage. I do not have the time right now to do this, but will soon.

In the meantime, the accurate number of 1987 LT's stands at 8,557. This means that out of 84,153 Sport Coupes produced, 8,557 had the LT option because it was an option package on the base Sport Coupe.

I agree, except for 1987 options that were included in all option packages. Production numbers for options that were available separately are accurate.

alright cool, now i wont feal so bad when i rip the motor out of it. I would hate to alter a car that was that rare. thanks for the info.
