Interior Repair.....matching patterns and colors....

I have an 84 Z 28.

I have a black and blue interior. The side supports on the seats are blue and black striped as are the door panels.

I was told that 84 was the last year that these colors were offered. I'm not sure about the pattern but assumed that it was.

My question is this: How difficult is it to locate material to repair a tear on the drivers seat?

It's not actually a tear, it wore thin from years of behinds being rubbed against it when people get in or out. It's a common wear spot on all cars, about half way up the seat towards the outside of the car.

I'm not totally convinced of keeping the original pattern. I really like the colors but I'm not sure I want to go through all of the work and money to keep the original. I could very easily hear black leather seats calling!

The Fabric is no longer available from GM. So you are out of luck on reupholsterying the seats in the orginal material.

These guys will mail you a sample overnight. I will vouch for the materials as I have used them in the past.
