getting a nice TTA will run you a lot more than 3K, one with around 50k miles would easily be around 8-10K so it doesn't seem like its in your price range, and on top of that they're real rare to find. For $3000 though you can find yourself a nice v8 thirdgen just shop around.

if you want, try and find a turbo regal or grand national, and use that engine to swap it in a thirdgen body.

there is a turbo buick regal for 4,500 dollars around my house..

I am from NY & I had to go to Penn. to find my 89 TTA. It has 50k miles in very good condition. All orginal & no mods. I paid $12k for it & it is worth every penny. The car is so quick & responsive, it does what you want it to do, when you want it done. Good luck finding one near you. If have to be very lucky to live close enough to find one for sale. Once you find one it should be in pretty good orginal condition. People took very good care of these cars. I guess its because they cost over $30K brand new in 1989(which was alot back then).

I wouldn't say they're hard to find. There were three of them for sale here in the last couple years. $12000 would buy a really nice one. Its just too bad they're all white, with tan interior.

Drew,
I was actually dealing with a guy in Sioux Falls,SD about buying his TTA this past February when I found a better deal on the TTA I bought. Do you know if it is still for sale? It had 19k miles on it. The owner's name was Brian. If you know his contact information if the car is still available I may be interested in picking up another one and I liked that car a lot but I could not pass up the deal on mine. Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't keep track of any of the TTA's locally... if/when I desire to acquire one I shouldn't have trouble finding one... now on the other hand, finding various parts pieces I need is a pain in the butt.
