Commercial

Hey. I found 2 Camaro commercials on the web. They are late 80s commercials but I'm not sure of the year. I need someone to host it for me though. I have a fast connection so it shouldn't take a while.
It's 9.8MB.

YES! Thats me. I used to go by the handle "GMTech", but I took a lengthy hiatus from the board, and in the meantime I switched internet connections which means I lost the email address I registered with, so when I couldn't remember my password, I couldn't "email me my password" since my email was extinct, so I went with the next best thing I could think of.

David, check to make sure it didn't bounce, because I have yet to receive anything yet. If it did bounce back, try: bctripp@coastalnow.net

I also have a high speed connection, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Cool!! Its great to see you here again!! I was thinking of E-Mailing you and ask you to pay no attention to those that made you stay away in the 1st place and come back because you were always cool and helpfull to every1. Vader and GMTech, TGO's top Tech dudes. If you would like your UserName back, send me a PM.

We should have a GMTech back around here again soon.

Hey

I sent it to Air_Adam and 4L60bliss.

It didn't bounce back but I did get an error about it not being able to send to that address.

Cool!! The IROC-Z28 commercial was great!! They are both 85 advertisments. That IROC-Z was so nice, looks almost exactly like the car I want.

Thanks for the memories.....FEELS LIKE IM A SOPHMORE IN H.S AGAIN!!! Those things are timeless. The IROC-Z WAS the baddest thing on the street in those days. The NASCAR look was really a selling point. These days,,,not that much stands out much anymore. Everything is a mid 14 sec performer or better.

Thanks again for the memories

Doesn't look like I can post that TV commercial, maybe I'm doing something wrong? or maybe it is too large a file?

I'm not trying to post it as an attachment or using that browsing buton if that's what you mean.I tried sending it by email to this site's webmaster and that didn't work, may have been dumb to try that but I haven't found a free vid hosting site.

Ugghh... I just spent half an hour downloading that commercial. I just watched it and strangely I feel the need to go participate in **** sex with another man.

No offense to those who uploaded this and posted this thread, cause its nice to see stuff like this, but DAMN that was gay. That was quite possibly the gayest thing I've ever seen. I'm ashamed to own a camaro after seeing that garbage. Maybe if the entire image they were selling wasn't homo-erotic to the tenth power it wouldn't be so bad, but DAMN. Thats all I can say... DAMN!

OK here it is for anyone who wants it. I must say it's pretty lame and very very cheesy, and probably not worth the download time, but heh, here it is anyway for a limited time so get it while it lasts . 115MB. http://ohok.com/Z28.avi

That has got to be the worst commercial commercial. I thought about downloading it and compressing it to Divx so more folks could see it, but now that I've seen it I'm gonna do yall a favor and not.

hey guys, "feel the beat"! OMG that stoopid **** will now be stuck in my head for the rest of the day. what in the he!! did that stoopid @$$ ad have to do with the Camaro? and it looks to me like an '82 ad. pretty sure it is due to the primitive ad style (announcer at end, logo style) im pretty sure they went to a more "hi-tech" style in '83...

Jesus dude, it was the 80s! What did you expect? Compared to "don't squeeze the Charmin" and "Where's the Beef?", I'd say that commercial isn't so bad.

Go to apple.com/quicktime and download the newest version of quicktime for free. It should work then.

hey. I compressed it to a 6.7 MB divx 5 (avi) file for those that want it. I don't have a place to host it but if you're on AIM just shoot a message to Davidjbod and I'll send it to ya. Or if somone wants to host the smaller file I could send it to ya.

All I know about it is that it's apparently encoded in something called "YUV9" format. No idea beyond that. I think as long as you have an up-to-date Media Player or Quicktime, it should work. As far as the speed.. should be lightning quick. I've gotten speeds up to 11MB/sec (11,000KB/sec or 11,000,000 bytes a second) accessing my host from outside hosts.

Black 91 Z28, if you want to send me the smaller version, I'll replace the huge one with the small one. See my profile for AIM name (I sent ya an AIM message)

I have no idea why it won't work for you guys. Trust me, you're not missing a lot anyway. It's lame as heck. Or let's wait and see if I can get the smaller one from Black 91 Z28
