Actually, the owner states it's an IROC-Z. My registry contains only Z28's without the IROC-Z option.
The records state 744 Z28 convertibles produced in 1987. There is no further breakdown of this figure -- in other words, no one knows how many of these had the IROC-Z option. That's because the convertible (RPO Z08) is an option and so is the IROC-Z (RPO B4Z). As we all know, Chevy did not keep records of option combinations, so.... we'll never know. But based on estimates, I can safely say that approximately 90 percent of the 744 had the IROC-Z option. This is based on the number of 1987 Z28's and IROC-Z's I've located since 1990. That puts the total production of Z28's at around 75. Of the twelve I have confirmed, two have the TPI/5-speed. Mine is one.
Note: The TPI/auto combination was not available in 1987 convertibles, so all TPI cars had the 5-speed. Conversely, zero 305 carb convertibles had the 5-speed. They were all automatics.

No need to apologize. I appreciate your effort to find and post a link to this car. I feel it's a good price too! And he really does need to replace those wheels!!

Willie/anyone,
I'm curious about the interior in this car. I assume it's some sort of option; neither of mine have this interior, with the Camaro logo's.
Also, how do we know it's a good price? There is no buy now option. Have I missed something?

Bob, the interior is not original to this car. It's called the L/S (Lear Siegler) Contour and was an option in 1982 - 1986 Z28's and IROC-Z's. The 1986 did not use the "Camaro, Camaro, Camaro" cloth though. And this interior in Black (actually gray/black), was a 1985 exclusive.

You didn't miss anything. We're basing the price on the starting bid of $5k.

I'd love to get my hands on that black L/S interior.
I should have bought the roll of cloth material when I had the chance.
