Formula production #'s

I have a 91 Formula 350. No T-tops. I've read these cars are somewhat rare for my year, and even more rare for 92. Can anyone tell me the aproximate # of Formulas made in 91? I've gotten different #'s from different sources. Also if it's possible to know, how many of those were equipped with the 5.7? Thanks.

My numbers are less the 1LE's and Firehawks and is based on a number given to me by Pontiac Historical Services. Sorry, I have no info on the 5.7 production numbers...

Personally I am not going to worry about being off "1" The difference may be several things, like the single Formula that they pulled from the line to do crash testing, or to put in a warehouse some where... but its interesting to see that there are soooooooo many discrepencies with Pontiac.

Hmm. Well whether it's 5000 or 2000, I guess they're still more rare than previous Formulas. Just wish I had an even more rare car,,,like a Firehawk!

Where the 2000~5000 Production descrepency comes from back in 1990 there was only a short run of 1990 cars. 1991 Production started early, you could almost claim that some cars were 1990 1/2, but I believe they all got a 1991 VIN...

WHAT the problem is, some sources use the standard May 1989 thru May 1990 production, for 1990 cars, and May 1990 - May '91 for 1991 cars. Whereas it should have been more like May '89 - March '90 and March '90 - May '91.

I am not sure when exactly they changed over to 1991 production the month of March does stick in my head tho....

hope that helps...
