'92 yellow T/A vert price question
Forgive me for asking but what would be a fair price to offer on a yellow '92 T/A vert with say high miles, poor condition, bad paint, dents, torn top? Reason I ask is if I ever see that '92 vert again I may try to buy it but I have no idea what a junked up 1 of 2 car might be worth.
Any ballpark ideas? I don't know if it'd even be worth the $$ trying to restore such a car back to original condition.

The first offer I would make would be for a "regular" 92 T/A vert in that condition. Offer them the book value of a worn out car. Maybe a couple thousand dollars.
If they know what they have...then you would have to make an offer on a rare automobile. It just depends on how much you want it.

well it sounds like at least one of them still exist. Perhaps the one in Chicago is the only remaining one. I haven't seen one that used to be seen frequently here in a long time so it may have been wrecked, scrapped, or perhaps someone else bought it and moved away
I sure feel like an idiot for not buying it when I had the chances and before it was trashed.
No use worrying about it anymore. Only a Delorean equipped with a flux capacitor hitting 88mph could remedy my error now.
Edit:
What RPOs would denote a legitimate Yellow Trans Am convertible?

the most important verifier is the 52L and 52U codes. only 23 firebirds in 1992 should have those codes, the "Jamaica Yellow" firebirds.
WS4 is the code for trans am
the "33" in the vin denotes a convertible.
good luck, gt

In case you guys are interested I just saw, yesterday, a 92 t-top base yellow bird with a 5-speed. I have seen another yellow 92 and the color was the same so I believe it was a factory color. But I don't know if this one was 305 TBI or 3.1. The other was a 305 auo with what looked like 15 inch cross lace rims, the interior was a tan leather and it was pretty loaded. The one I saw yesterday had black seats, didn't look factory, and didn't have any options I could see. The car didn't even have the rear defrost. The engine code was T or 3. What would that have been originally. Also what seats would the car have come with? (As you can tell I don't really know firebirds that well, I am a former camaro guy.)
So lets see I have seen 2 diffs the guy who started this thread has seen the Yellow TA vert, I know there is a 92 yellow formual hardtop 350. 4 down. Can we account for any other of these rare birds?

I have seen one 92 1LE Formula. (At the T/A nats this past summer, hardtop, 305, 5spd) I dont know if this is the car alex is referring too.
I have seen one 92 Firebird, with aeropackage and T-tops, black cloth interior, auto. Gold 15" crosslace wheels. (At my school last semester)
Those are only the yellow 92's ive seen in person.
