availablity of new Plenum and Runners?
I dont know if this is the right place for this but its my best guess for the right forum. Does anyone know if GM still has any NOS plenums and runners in stock and for sale??? I only ask cause I want a spare set to polish up for my car but I dont want to buy a full setup off of ebay or something for the $300-$500 that they are going for. My dad has a shop so we get parts from the local chevy dealer all the time and since we have an account there we get them at cost. Plus it would just be cool to have a brand new plenum and runners setup.

So just buy the parts you need on Ebay. It's not like a plenum and/or runners is hard to find individually on Ebay, and it's going to cost a TON less than GM gets.
I am no expert but I would say these are probably discontinued. But if not, they would be very expensive through GM. I went to this swap meet last month and a guy had a complete TPI setup from an '89 vette with only 15,000 miles, computer , runners, everything $150.00, he also had the aluminum heads for $400. I asked him why he was selling so cheap, he said he owed $550 on a ZZ4 crate engine. Of course I didn't have the money at the time, he sold everything in 10 minutes. I guess what I am trying to say is that sometimes you can find really good deals out there. Good luck.

find the part number and look it up on www.gmpartsdirect.com
I agree with what was said above though.. regardless of what insider deals you or your dad can get, ebay.com will be much cheaper.

Considering what you charge for some of your stuff, are you sure you didn't miss a zero at the end of that price?
I think if you're referring to just the plenum/runners/base, then I'd tend to agree. When you throw in the throttle body, fuel rails & injectors, you're going to be looking forever at $150. Add the computer, harness, MAF, sensors & a distributer and you're lucky to find the stuff for under $500

TPI's are falling from the sky around here. $200 gets you a MAF TPI setup with wiring harness, distributor, ECM, alternator bracket, etc etc etc... For all the aluminum parts and injectors I wouldn't pay more than $200.
I've got more than that in the TPI setup I'm assembling for my L98 conversion, but only because I'm buying nearly MINT parts for the exact year and car I'm working with. When I'm done I'll probably have $500 in it, but it'll be concourse accurate.

If that's the case Drew, you should buy up every one you find and put it on ebay. Maybe you'll find a way out of that cell phone bill afterall.
300 to 500 for a complete TPI setup is accurate , if you can find one 150 then your lucky , but you are not getting ripped off if you pay more, I have a compltete setup minus the harnes that I paid 350 for. You can get them for cheaper .
