hmm....definetly a very basic firebird. perhaps the hubcaps came off a 2nd gen base firebird? with some work that car could be made nice, or being pretty basic already, it could be made into a good drag car (obviously the 6-banger would be replace with a healthy V8).

those are valid for 1982, but only for base firebird. they're in the 1982 dealer book. looks like that car is missing one beauty ring.. oops. that's only the 2nd or 3rd car I've seen with those original wheels.. amazing

check this thread.. someone found a set in a flea market: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=123986

You're kidding? Never seen a thirdgen Bird with all the chrome. Even has vinyl seats! Wonder if this was a special order car?Wouldn't mind getting my hands on this one.

Nope, as I see it there, it looks totally original except seat covers and steering wheel cover. I can't see anything invalid, right off hand. In fact the V6 is an *upgrade*. The default motor was the Iron Duke. The silver roof-drip molding is valid. Silver Firebird front fender logo seems valid, as do the silver door handles. Even my 85 base bird has the silver roof-drip so I know it's valid for base model cars. The wheels are totally legit. I'm actually surprised it has TWO mirrors.. the base bird did not have a passenger side mirror by default, so that is an upgrade too. Doesn't have the map pocket, which was optional. Can see hidden engraved eagle behind it. Seems to have the carpeted kick panels, which were optional. You can see the "idiot light" gauge cluster without oil/volt/gas/temp gauges. It should have one huge gas gauge where the tach usually goes, and no tach. This is one of the most stripped but most original '82 base bird's I've seen. :hail: The reason it looks so alien is that all these cars have been molested and turned into hotrods, etc., and this seems to be a rare survivor. If I had the money handy, I'd swipe it up right now.

Ive seen some photos of birds with hubcaps but never those. Here is a web address:

http://www.gmtips.com/3rd-degree/dox...ls/82f/82f.htm

Has images of all the wheels offered for 82. Notice the top. It has the dog dish hubcap.

I am very surprised to see this car in a very original shape. Just shows you how dog ugly they could be. I imagine that my 84 Duke came off the line very similar to this one. My bird did get the rear spoiler which Im happy about.

Man that is neat to see. Most birds are already stripped, rodded, or junked by this point.

That bird definitly needs some work but What a cool way to restore a factory original car...most of the parts are there.

Awsome

I've seen those honeycomb and wirewheels on a few Birds. Thought they simply got those honeycombs from a 2nd gen TA.

That's cool.

I've seen just about all the other wheels in person, but not the dogdishes.

The 4cyl cars are usually the ones that are still all original and intact like this one.

Check it out guys. It might not have much, but it does have a/c.
First option I saw on the under hood pic.

All you would need to do is get rid of that goofy looking aftermarket stereo. Can you say radio delete?

Yeah, that is interesting. Its almost funny. It would make an awesome sleeper.

In my Pontiac Catalog, I have seen the press release shots of the window chrome, but never those hubcaps. I only know of the bowling ball caps.

I thought N24's were not available until '83. Here is the '83 list:

Was the chrome door handles/locks a Firebird only thing? I also have an 84, but a Camaro SC. It has no chrome what so ever.
