87 Formula, worth it?

I came across an 87 formula for sale this weekend. It is an L98 car with 81,000 miles, pw, pl, tilt, and power hatch(not working)

The car has an immaculate interior, clean everywhere. The body has surface rust, and one small spot in the quarter panel that could be a hole soon. The real dinger is the roof has no paint on it what so ever. SO the car would need a total repaint.

It is a four wheel disc car, he said the rear brakes need work(is that expensive,i do my own brake work, but i heard rear disc is a whole new ball game)

The ac does not work(big shocker there)

The car ran strong, just wouldn't stop(bad rear brakes) Newer exhaust, and okay tires.

He was at 1750, but he said he will take 1500, is this car worth it?

I would think so with the low mileage and hard to come by rear disc brakes. I say if you have another car to drive and someplace to work on this one then go for it.

WHere do you live in schaumberg? I live on glen ellyn road right off of lake street. (across from the bloomingdale church)

It's nice to see people from the area on here.

I am going to take a few pics of the car, that way you guys can get a better idea of what i am talking about.

Thanks

Hey local people. Allright!

For that price it's a good deal. It's actually pretty low mileage and if you don't need to make a daily driver out of it, and have some place to just put some TLC into it, that could very easily turn into a real nice car, especially if the interior is as you say.
There was some problem GM had with paint around '87-88 so that's no surprise.
With how popular these cars are getting, especially the Formula 350s, that is a very good price IMO.

Lets see some pics, and RPO codes.
