It's an original F-Body Pontiac Illustrations Manual straight from the shelf of a bankrupt Pontiac dealership.

You should see all kinds of references in there. Look up any engine part or look in the Illustration section 0.000.

'82 5.0-7 is the LU5
'83 5.0-S is the LU5
'83 5.0-7 is the L69
'84 5.0-G is the L69

im lookin in section 0.000 and still no '7' or 'S'. Plus in the pages where it decodes the VIN's, it still has no 'S' in 1983 or no '7' in 1983.

Look at:

82-90 Illustrations section 0.000 page 0-37

1982-83 "F" ENGINE ASM-5.0L V8 (LU5/5.0-7 & 5.0-S)

0.000 page 0-35

1982-'86 "F" ENGINE ASM-5.0L V8 (LG4/305H, LU5/5.0-7 & 5.0S, L69/305-7 & 305G)

Look up any engine part#
For '83 when in refers to 5.0-S, "S" = LU5 and 5.0-7 = L69

As far as references:

'82-'83 P&I
'82-"84 P&I
'82-'85 P&I
'82-'90 P&I
'82-'91 P&I
'82-'92 P&I

'82, '83, '84... Dealers Albums, Brochures, order forms ....etc, for a few.

That is one bad thing about the later books that cover most to all of the third gens, a lot of info is missing. That is why I have individual year editions and 2-3 year editions. They have the correct breakdowns in the front.

'92 was the last year it was published for the third gens. I should have added the '82-'92 book has a lot of info from the "earlier years" missing.
