Is your RPO colur different then actual colour (from factory)

Okay bought an 87 T/A--navy blue.
RPO code says 28U Saphire black met????
How is the car blue? A slip up on the assembly line??

uh.....nice try but if thats what I thought I wouldn't have posted it.

Car is not here yet but when I took a look at it
I didn't see any black....underhood, door jams...no where. Now why would some one repaint the entire car in a factory colour?

Okay...could happen but seems odd

The factory caled colors different things all the time.

Purple Haze (1992) color also know as Hawaiian Orchid had it on my RS.

So your color might have been called 2 things, it's possible.

Okay---just found out Black Saphire metalic is navy blue. Apparently Saphire is blue---(who knew?) but with the black in the name--I assumed it meant it. Me bad
