Just wondering how many more cars are out there like this. I'm sure most of these cars post 88 are 1LE's but are there anymore out there pre 88??

RPO G92 was for the performance rear axle and required no 1LE options which is just another RPO code. Rare no.

That's not what I am asking. I'm asking if there are any more non-AC G92's out there. Thanks.

Who knows, Gm did not keep records of the numbers for each RPO on a car.

Actually they did. Each RPO has production numbers. GM did not keep production numbers on combinations.

Now please if you're not going to contribute thoughtfully or with factual evidence to this thread please leave. Thanks.

GM didn't keep the counts of option combinations, correct. They did keep records of individual option quantities.

DJP87Z28, you said, "Gm did not keep records of the numbers for each RPO on a car" which they did do!

I think that ordering a G92 without AC triggered the 1LE in the later years (91/92 ??), but since only 4 1LE cars exist for 1988, it's hard to say. Since there were 88k AC units sold in 88 out of 96k total Camaro production, I would say that a G92/non-AC combination would be rare. Most people got AC and I'm sure there are some bare bones SC's without AC and without G92 (of course)

I looked at and strongly considered buying an 88 Formula 350, it had NO options on it whatsoever except a power antenna, and the up level radio with cassette/EQ combo, had the 9 Bolt performance axel, I did not memorize the RPO's so I do not know if it had the G92 or not tho...

Usually G92 is what triggers the 9-bolt BW rear end.

Funny, my car is bare bones except for the power attenna and cassette/EQ combo (also a 88)

my (second) 87 Formula has the 9 Bolt, 5 speed, TPI and does not have G92, I think G92 might have been introduced either in 88 or 89 on firebirds... not sure tho...

I think I know of one '86 IROC. It was special ordered with no power options and no A/C.

I see it around Hollister, CA once in a while. It's changed hands a few times since the original owner let it go. It's just another beater now.
