Ok Smart Alics heres one for you. I just got back from the JUNK yard (one of the best for 3rd gens around in my location)

A fellow camaro club member came out looking for t-tops for his 83 z28 I had a set that come off of a 87 Iroc. I knew they wouldnt work So we went down to the junk yard to go see if they had any. From what I have gathered around here is the 82-84s had Hooks on them. ( My 82 pace car & his 83 have hooks) Every 84 Camaro we ran up agaisnt at the junk yard was the eye (rod) style. So what year did the T-tops change?????

My '83 has hooks as well, so '84 must have been the change-over year.

 

both of my 84's have the pins.

We got it fig out. He went down & took the Female rod ends off another car & just replaced those with the Rod style t-tops he got out of the junk yard.


So basiclly 82& 83 t-tops are the same & everything else is as well. Kewl Nice to know.
