How can I get this car??
I posted this in the V-6 board, not knowing a better place to go with it, so sorry for a x-post.
There is a shop up the street from me and the owner died, I heard, about a year ago. Anyway, there is a 3rd gen Firebird, about an 86 maybe, in the lot along with a 3/4 ton Chevy and some other lil junker. I want to find out how to get the F-body but no phone # anywhere except the number for the shop and it's been closed for about a year now. Sign out front says building for sale, but how ya supposed to sell it if you don't have a number to call lol.
So, any ideas on how to get this car? Get the VIN and try to get the numbers run to find the owner? If it's not stolen get a salvage title or I think we have a title for abandond vehicles? Any other ideas? I'd like to pick this car up and save it from the junkyard or worse the crusher. It's been there a while and I think it would be a great base for my project.
If the guy that died wasn't such a butthead sometimes, I might have gotten to know him better, besides just delivering parts to him a few years ago. Thanks for any suggestions and ideas.

If you can get to the car, like if it isn't fenced in or something, what I would do is leave a note on the car (under the wiper?) with your name, phone number, etc.. on it.
If they wanna sell, they will call.
Good luck

Yea, I'd leave a note on the car, maybe more than one. Just don't do like I did and do nothing.
Used to be a pretty nice '69 Charger in a fenced lot with some junk cars. No sign no nothing. Was there for years and I never knew who owned it.
'Tis gone now.

I'm not really worried about it now since I got an 89 Formula WS6 yesterday for $300. I'm keeping my eye out on it though since id still has good parts that I need. I might drop a note or something when I go to the AZ next door this weekend.
