Buildsheet location...

I've been looking for the buildsheet on my '83... with no luck.

I've heard that many older Chevy muscle cars had the sheet hidden on top of the gas tank... maybe it could be there? Not being able to find the damn thing is driving me nuts, lol... i've been looking all summer!!!

EDIT: By the way.... uhh... how do I remove the tank? Its empty right now and I have to take it out to replace the fuel guage sending unit.

Almost all of my Pace Cars have had them under the passenger front seat...you might check there. I have also heard of them behind one of the door panels...... or you may not even have one. I have seen cars that did not have them. I am pretty sure they did not wind up in every car. I know in the olden days, it was because of a mistake that one was left in the car (at least the Chevelles that I have had)so most people never found one. I have owned about 15 Chevelles and only found 2.

Under the passenger seat...

Do you mean under the carpet there, or just under the seat? I've looked just under the seat, and nothing there.

They were actually under the seat itself. I had to pull it out from behind the springs...
