Restoration Supplier to Avoid

I know a few of you consider how to replace the decals on your cars.

I have had good luck with Phoenix Graphics but I thought I would pass on some info on who to avoid:

I threw my $0.02 cents into that post. I hope he reads it. That guy is an @$$. There is no getting around. it.

I won't buy from him even if his products were awesome.

Reason 1 he steals photos
Reason 2 he joined this board to bash members who are pissed at him
Reason 3 he screws people on shipping
Reason 4 see previous reasons.

I love the negative ebay replies. Classic.

Chuck never did admit to the photo being Don's car. He just kept punting the blame off on Phoenix Graphics for using his.

My ***...I hope I never have to deal with someone like that in a business transaction. In my opinion, he is more childish than my 9 year old brother. Those negative feedback responses he left, jesus.

Are you looking for something exact colorwise, or will anything good will do?Classic Industries sells the same style body striping that yours has but for the '85&'86 Z28s and they say can work on '87s but colors may differ . On page 276 of their online catalog they have them for $239.95 You'll need Acrobat Reader to view their online catalog.

My theory on why his bird faces the wrong way is verified....

This from http://www.stencilsandstripes.com/index.asp

"Some items are apparently deliberately made to look somewhat different from the original (perhaps in an attempt to avoid trademark licensing fees?). For example, some hood birds for Pontiac Trans Ams feature the bird's head facing the wrong way, incorrect tail feathers, etc."

Take a peek at the page and look under ""A word about "QUALITY" and "LICENSING"".

I dont mean to drag this on but just thought I would toss that out.

Wow, I can't believe I read that entire thing. That guy Chuck must have spent hours upon hours ranting about the responses. What I can't figure out is, when confronted with undeniable evidence about stealing Don's picture, he STILL would not admit it. To me that spells some serious issues with this guy, and says alot about his character. I'll stay away, thanks for posting this to make us all aware.

Another funny thing that just occured to me, if Chuck had not kept fueling the fire with his book sized responses, the thread probably would have died out.
You have to have a clear line between your business and personal lives. He took the attacks personally as evidanced by his effort filled replies, but in business that will get you no where fast. I hope he takes the lessons learned from his experience and applies them to bettering his business and CS.

in one of his many posts, he says something along the lines of "But feel free to keep the free advertising going! The hits are up! Thanks!!" I'll be damned if he sees a penny of my money after I get my paintjob. He has to be a complete moron to act like that and still think that people will buy from him. I'm just glad I read this now, instead of a month from now

Take care fellas
