Two Tone Camaro

I have a 1987 Cmaro SC with the Flame red (74U) paint and a lower paint (84L) Hawaiian Ochid this color is also in the headlight area. I know it orignal but have not seen any other Camaros with this two tone treatment. Does any body have this. Might be able to see it in the pic.

Here is my 87 Z-28. I know the colors are different, but it is the factory color scheme.

Blown.. his car looks to be a SC or an LT, but not a z28 that got the two tone paint. Willie probably knows... both of your cars look sweet. 87 was the best year; the peak for thidgen camaro's imo.

There is nothing unusual about the two-tone paint paint on your car. My 87 LT was two-tone like that back when I first got her, although I've painted her since and got rid of the gray. I'm curious about the color name you mentioned. Orchid? My bottom color was a grayish silver. I don't know what the name of it is though. I never bothered to look it up. I just wanted it gone. My top color is the same flame red as yours is though, so I assume the bottom color would be the same.

Well, I don't remember. I had the car painted a little over six years ago. I just went out a checked the RPO codes and what I found was U8555/L8555. 8555 is the code for black clearcoat. So I don't know where I came up with the color codes.

What I was actually refuring to was that the lower color was also in the headlight area. I have not seen this with any other Camaro. I have only see black or the upper body color. I do agree that the 87 was the best year for the third gen F-body. all of your cars look great. The pic. don't show it real good, the silver in the pic is my factory stripes.

<3333 two tones... i have an 87 z28 tpi that looks exactly like one listed here, only I have a different grille.

got it for 800 bucks. cleaned it up since it was dirty as skdsalkdsal, put a new paintjob on it, and tuned up the engine and changed the oil. everything worked on it except the A/C needed recharged (which I've done and it now freezes everyone out), and it needs a new mass air flower sensor.

Although I don't think that I've seen your color combo I have seen other SC/Berlinettas/LTs with headlight pockets the same color as the lower striping.

I too have the 84L secondary color, but I can't tell if this is the dual gray striping or the gray color below the striping on the bottom of the car. I also have the headlight pockets in a color matching the very bottom, but I'm not sure if that is a part of the 84L option either.

awesome cars, when i was shopping for mine i wanted an 87 and a v8, thats all i cared about.

my dads old 87 v6 had the maroon and grey two tone with red stripes down the lower portion... before it rusted out it was so sharp.

even the day we got rid of it, the paint that was still there looked about 3 miles deep.
