Need help: 89 5-speed rs?
Myself and a friend were told that the 1989 305tbi five speed is considered to be rare. Is this true. Also that they only came in two colors black and maroon. Is this true. Im asking because we came across a supposive 89 305tbi five speed that is blue from the factory but we arent certain if it is an 89. Any info would be appreciated.

No it is not the slightest bit "rare". No it is not true about the colors.
Check the VIN. The 10th digit will tell you instantly and positively what year the car is.
