How many V6's were built with the F41 suspension in 84?
I'm trying to figure out how rare or special or whatever my car might be. I was surprised when I bought it to find out that it had the F41 suspension package in it (firm ride and handling)---I had never seen one in a V6 car before that. To the eye, all I see that is different from the regular car is the presence of a rear sway bar. The general ride in the car is a HECK of a lot more tight than it was in my last one, an '83 base model that originally came with....dare I say....a 4CYL. ! AHHHHH!!!! Let me save face by adding that the 4 cyl had been blown and replaced with a 6 long before I bought the car. I have never sat in a 2.5L-powered Camaro.
I have no idea if the F41 package is something that wasn't put on the V6 cars very often or if they're a dime a dozen. If anyone knows, educate me on the subject.

I know that my 84 firebird (v8) had the f41 suspension and it was an option...it isn't the TA suspension and frankly, it isn't that big of a deal...
I know that this doesnt apply to the current post, but f41 in 91-92 was level 2 spension, which from what i've heard came with 16" wheels and implied a v8.
This would mean that the only difference between a f41 rs (91-92) and a base 305 z28 would be the engine and the rear wing. But Z28's had the option of the FE2 suspension (level 3). From my experience F41 is fairly desirable in low trim models, regardless of the availability. In these years, it meant that your came with base Z28 sway bars and what not, but I honestly have no idea what it meant in 84.

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
GM didn't keep track of combinations of options like that - V6 and F41 - but they did keep track of individual options; you could find out how many V6's or how many F41's were built.
