87 Camaro vin shows 350 V8 is it an IROC?
I don't have/car doesn't have the RPO codes on it but it is a 87 Camaro badged as an IROC in all the right places. The vin decoder says it is a 350 V8 does that mean it is an IROC for sure?

For 1987, the answer is yes. The 350 (VIN eighth digit = 8) was an option ($1045) only with the Z28 with IROC-Z option packages. You might want to check the rear axle assembly too as it was a 9-bolt with 3.27 gears.

If you have 3.23's in an 87 with G92, then you have an Iroc-z with a 305 TPI and an automatic. Like mine.
So it is just for 350's

Labrat nailed it:
1987 only
350 TPI: 3.27 9-bolt / G92 not available
305 TPI/auto: 2.73 10-bolt / G92 = 3.23 10-bolt
305 TPI/5-spd: 3.08 10-bolt / G92 = 3.45 9-bolt
