Could someone out there with a 89 Camaro that has the Gold on the ground effects, what is the paint code for that color?? I've done a search on this site.. and on the net.. I can't find any official information.. Thanks

 

89's didn't come with gold GFX's are you thinking of 88 and earlier Camaro's?

I'm pretty sure they did.. Mine is black.. according to my RPO list it has the delete for that, which reverted the Gold accent rims to plain aluminum.. and I have the paint code on my RPO sheet for upper and lower body color.. mine being both black. Unless the car only had a pin stripe.. which was deleted..

 

I know they have gold stripes....but no gold GFX.

wait, are you talking about gold stripes on the GFX, or are you talking about actually having gold painted GFX?

I have the gold stripes/trim on my red Iroc.

does your car have gold accent rims?? I am taking about actual gold GFX.. but perhaps there is some truth .. perhaps the GFX where not painted gold.. but I was certian they woiuld have.. I have not seen any pics of a 89 with GFX a different clolor differing from the main body.. I know in the RPO stripe delete had to do with the pin stripe.. I was assuming that the GFX would have been gold also..

 

From 89 on, all third gen camaro's had body color GFX's

 

This is my car...it obviously has the gold accents/emblems/pinstripes.

For that matter, ALL Irocs ALL years had the same color(body color) GFX.

 

Thanks For the info Guys.. I did locate a cool BASF color that I'll use.. Car gets painted with in a two week period hopefully.
