Lookin for info/pics on a prototype.
Hello, as i was surfing the boards yesterday for some reason i rememberd reading a magazine article back in high school that as well as i could remeber had a 3rd gen built by chevy (i think john moss is the guys name who does the special vehicles but not sure) that had a bad **** 510cu in. FI engine in it and i think it had the Ronal Firehawks on it as well... Did some searching around here and couldn't find it so i though maybe i was goin crazy or just couldnt remeber the right specs but then i found this. Nothin more than just a tasty little blurp to keep me going. Does anyone have any pics or info on this badboy?

The camaro mentioned in the article is a fourth gen I believe. I have a episode of Car and Driver Television on tape with the camaro I am thinking of put up against the mustang in that article you linked. IIRC, the ford was faster on the strip and the chevy was faster on the road course. They actually clocked the ford doing a 1.2 second 0-60 run. I couldn't believe it, but they repeatedly said that 1.2 seconds was no mistake.
Funny part was watching the ford break down after both tests. They claimed it was a toss up, but if you ask me a broken car equals a looser. It's a great video that I wouldn't mind posting on my website, but I have no way to get it into digital format, oh well.

Yea they mention the car your talkin about as well in the article I linked to and it was in the original article that i saw, Its a black 93 with a 572 in it.... but there was also the 510 92 and thats the one im more interested in because if i remember correctly it had a pimp injection setup with individual plenums for the right and left banks.
