i recieved mine last week, it took about 8 weeks for me to get it.It was really cool though reading the factory invoice, seeing all the options, and what car dealer got the car and the actual selling price. be patient it is deffinatly worth the wait.

I've been waiting 12 weeks and haven't heard a thing. I hope it comes soon I need some documentation on this car. It's been stripped to the bone and I didn't find the built sheet. The previous owner keep all the paper work to the car the only thing I have is SPID label.

to get an invoice you have to email gm at
gmma.research@gm.com when you email them you have to give the vin# and the year of the car.

They said they couldn't provide an invoce for my cars because they are pre '86? Yet they did it for my '82 awhile back.....
Nothing for me yet either; I emailed them back in May and even did a follow-up email in July. The response was that they were extremely busy and were trying to catch up. I have some patience left because the information is free. 3 months, however, is beginning to push the envelope a bit.

when i emailed my information off, i was told there was only one girl who does this at gm, also when she emailed me for some more information, she stated in the email that they can go back to 1977. if i am not mistaken she used to frequent these boards.good luck in getting all your invoices, hopefully you all will get them soon.
Can anyone say 'invoice'? I knew you could
Got mine today - I saw an envelope with a GM logo in the upper left corner and thought, "Hm. That looks suspiciously like my invoice!"
1FP87 - CAMARO 2DR IROC-Z COUPE, MSRP $14.145.00, INV AMT $12,631.49, TOTAL PRICE - $19,905.00
The car was nearly optioned-out from what I can tell - almost 20 grand was a pretty penny back in th' day, yo

i did not realize how much these cars cost back in the 80s. mine sold for $18,663.00 ,the most exspensive option on mine was the LT convertible option PKG #4 that alone was $2376.00 .even though they are copies, still pretty cool to have.

My next projects are to acquire an owner's manual and a reproduction (or self-made copy) of a window sticker.
18-20 grand doesn't sound like much these days, which is sad; that really was fairly big money for a car back then
Oddly, I picked up my new-in-'92 bare-bones RS for a sticker price of $13,100.

Finally got mine
GM. I can't believe the car cost $20,400 in 1990. My Convertible cost me $32,353 in 1999. It just goes to show how much inflation there is.
Does anyone know where to get reproduction window stickers?

I was just wondering where to get one of these! I emailed them and asked about repro SPID labels, too. We'll see what they say.

Damn. I emailed 'em and got a response that said they'd rather not. They COULD do them, but they can barely keep up with the window stickers. I guess it's back to the Photochop drawing board

Here's the picture you requested. I had the window sticker lamenated so it's a little shiny.
Dude. You just completely convinced me to buy one; I was curious about the quality, but not anymore. I'll buy two - one to display on the restoration (
) and one to file away.
I'm now wondering if 'gauge' was spelled 'gage' on the original window stickers; 'gauge' is the correct spelling, after all, but I am to spelling what Jim85IROC is to stock
Thanks for the pic!

I just put in a request for mine last night. I got an email back today saying it will take 6 -8 weeks and they don't know if they can get anything for my car since it was sold in Canada.

Can't you guys get all this stuff from the Pontiac Historical Services? I thought they could get you all of the paper work on Pontiacs including some extra stuff like color options and photos.
anyone ever use that service? I know it's only for Pontiacs so the Camaro guys are out.
