ASC label for verts

I had always though ASC stood for Automotive Sunroof Company, but on the vert I just picked up the ASC label says Automotive Specialty Company, which actually makes more sense considering they do more than sunroofs. Anyway I was wondering how I got the misinformation in the first place, and I'm sure it was a thread on here. So I figured I'd post a pic of my actual label, and we could discuss/argue the topic.

Check this thread,

On the build sheet, you will notice "ASC" Name and address on Gale Avenue in the City of Industry, CA. I lived near there many years, and that is a place where they converted coupes into convertibles. I don't know if that was the only place or not.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to check under my seats to see if I can find anything. I hadn't even thought to do that.
