MINT '84 Berlinetta, opinions?
Hey guys!
I ran across this gorgeous '84 Berlinetta on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2492123297 I can't believe the condition it's in! How rare are these cars optioned like this? How much do you think it's worth? I don't see many thirdgens go for very high prices on eBay so I'll be anxious to see how this one does. There sure aren't too many early thirdgens left in this kind of condition, what do you all think of it? How well do those electronic dashes and extra little luxury touches stand up?

HMMM looks like your last thread got locked...
Maybe you should quit while you're ahead man.
Don't wanna get thrown on probation or something
Don't get me wrong though.. it is one of the most beautiful examples of an original berlinetta i've ever seen, but if scott says no, don't try and push it..

This comment is for Scott: - Please leave the link up so we can discuss the historical points of the car. Just edit his post so it's not a sales push for the car.
Like I said in the other thread, it's a nice car. I'd love to own it. I see the cruise control isn't on the wheel like some Berlinettas. I guess it's on the stalk like our cars.

Hey guys, I appreciate your concern, but I already discussed the issue with Scott. I made an error in my previous post and I'll leave it at that. If he wants to chime in with more of an explanation I'll leave it up to him.
Anyway, It's interesting that he says the radio doesn't work but the tape player does, I would have figured the other way around lol. Is there anyone out there who fixes these radios? also I noticed that shifter seems a lot like the C4 Corvette shifters, and not like the typical Camaro automatic shifter. I find these rarer option packages incredibly interesting and I love hearing input on them from all you guys, it amazes me the wealth of knowledge available on TGO!

edit: cdartz: it looks like the cruise control switches may be on the dash to the left of the instrument panel. In this picture: http://i6.ebayimg.com/02/i/02/8c/fd/4f_12_s.JPG you can see what I mean. Also in that picture it doesn't look like that car actually has a turn signal stalk
It must though and I just can't see it

Promoting eBay sales is prohibited here. This post was initiated asking about the rarity and potential value of the car. There is no foul in this post.
I discussed with quadgoat his options here. He wasn't trying to sell the car, but was looking for ideas on the potential value it could be worth. I informed him that he needed to rephrase his post.
All is good here.
