Help a desperate Z28 buyer
I am trying to purchase a 91 Z28, but I don't want to make the wrong decision. I used to have one and now I want the breeze in my hair again! The seller wants 7500. It has 110K miles. Ttops, elec seat, win, leather etc. It looks in great condition, but the price seems a little high. Everything is the same as factory, except the exaust which was flomaster (too loud for the old guy he says) is now 89 camaro exhaust.
I have pictures if that will help answer my question.
Thanks!

I would guess if the car was pristine, and the interior showed NO wear, the engine compartment was clean enough to eat off of, then yeah, the price is fair. But at 110,000 miles usually the car has yet to be gone through.
I would think a really good condition 91 Z28 with those miles would typically go for around $5500...
KBB - $4765 Loaded and from a dealer.
Edmunds - $3548 Loaded and from a dealer.
NADA - $4675

The car looks like it has been well taken care of from the pictures that you sent me, but I still can't justify a $7k price tag. And out of all the pictures you sent me, not a single one was of the engine, so try to get us an engine shot.

Wow...you guys are so helpful! The one thing I know is that the owner would not drive it in the rain or snow. (Not that it matters when it comes to the look of the engine) He told me that if I wanted to drive it before buying that I would have to come on a dry weekend. I will try to get engine shots for you guys.
Thanks again!

Engine looks stock as can be...you best get ready to do some modding
It's your call, I still say its priced too high, but the car is in great shape. Good luck whatever you choose to do.

Thats really highly priced in my opinion. I purchased my 86Z with almost every option for 3 grand and it only had 94k miles on it. It's in great condition and it was stored in the winters, which is rare for a camaro up here in wisconsin. Like someone had mentioned before I'd think a 91 - 92 Z in perfect condition with low miles say around 50k or so should be selling for about 8k. Good luck with getting a car though, they sure are fun
