3rd Gen Valuations?
Eventually some sort of method must be advised to help determine the valuation ($) of various 3rdgen cars on this site.
This is probably overdue for such a significant group of expert moderators. Few people fully grasp the effect these cars have on the public, and the collectors market. Most of the needed parts for a totol restoration are already gone from GM stocks, and "discontinued" is heard all too often when looking for what we feel is a frequently needed part. In my local papers IROCZ is no longer seen for sale, and they are disappearing from the local "auto recyclers" yards.
The experts are here on this board, so lets' do it!

There is a book called The Standard Catalog of Camaro that has a pretty good chart of value. But honestly, the only truly accurate way to determine value for muscle/enthusiast cars is the way it's always been done, look at what other cars in similar condition, year, model, mileage, and options are going for. The area you're in is also a factor. Check auctions and the like also. The online value guides are almost always nonsense and value will get higher as the years go on, so it's always changing.
Keep your cars nice and save original parts if you can. As the quantity of the cars in general lessens, the quality top cars will be sought after the most.
