Rocker Emblem

Anybody have an idea where I can get two blue Z28 rocker emblems? So far nobody has them. Someone mentioned a business called "VPI" that bought alot of GM NOS parts but I can't find them online.

Blue?

Hmm, The Paddock only has these:

No blue.

Classic Industries:
Charcoal, Dark gold, Grey, Red, Silver

So I have no idea!

GM made a couple of shades of blue Z28 emblems. The one pictured above is a very light shade of blue / gray. I have a pair of used "true" blue side emblems and one new rear bumper emblem. If you don't already have pics of the one you're looking for, maybe this one will aid in your search.

These are impossible to find and no source I know of has originals, nor does anyone reproduce these. Good luck in your search!

.... and here's a pic of my old '87 Z28 convertible with blue emblems. Note: Blue emblems were never used on IROC-Z's, only Z28's.

Why is that? Why do companies make all the other ones, but these?

Why is that?

It probably has to do with supply and demand -- there is no demand to make it profitable for companies to reproduce blue. A similar case is the 1987 Z28 striping. All other years' Z28 striping is reproduced but not 1987. It was a unique stripe used only that year, only 14,718 units and therefore, the cost to first obtain a license from GM to reproduce them cannot be justified.

Why do companies make all the other ones, but these?

Actually, not all the other ones are made. There was a unique blue used in 1982 only (kind of a pastel color) and it's not available anywhere. There were also several shades of red/orange/silver made too and I don't believe all are reproduced either.
